The RNA Series - DVI is a versatile KVM device configurable as an encoder, decoder, or codec. Featuring two DVI-D single link and two DVI-D dual link channels, each channel may be designated as an input or output to optimize system architecture.

ENCODER - Server Side Connection

Configured as an encoder, the RNA-DVI is equipped with four DVI inputs, with one USB-B host connection, dual SPF+ slots, two analog line in and out, and GPIO.  Each input is encoded and streamed through a standard IP network in any combinations of native uncompressed, reduced, or compressed H264 for end-point distribution.  The RNA-DVI encoder can support a single server up to quad-head.

The compressed H264 stream may is suitable for recording and distribution to remote facilities for viewing with standard media players.  It may also be captured by a decoder and de-compressed for full resolution playback at higher latency.

DECODER - Remote Client Workstation

Configured as a decoder the RNA-DVI is a remote end-point equipped with four DVI outputs, four USB-A HID connections, dual SPF+ slots, two bi-directional audio channels and GPIO.  The RNA-DVI decoder can support a quad-head remote client workstation with full USB- HID control and bi-directional audio.  All four displays head can play full screen FHD video simultaneously, or if compositions are desired, 2 screens can be composited with up to four servers while the other two screens my play FHD full screen simultaneously.

CODEC - Local/Remote Client Workstation

The RNA-DVI CODEC may be configured as a combined encoder and decoder in a single package.  Featuring two DVI inputs and two DVI outputs the CODEC acts as both a remote client workstation and local server control.  Passive safe-pass-through (SPT) allows local server control even in the event the network is broken or even if the RNA loses power.
